Mya is one of the big clubs of Valencia, located inside the City of Arts and Sciences complex on Avenida del Profesor López Piñero, right below L'Umbracle, the landscaped walkway that is part of Santiago Calatrava's ensemble. It belongs to the same group as the L'Umbracle terrace, and the two are closely linked: in season, a night often starts on the open-air terrace and continues downstairs in the club.
Inside, Mya has a contemporary, open design spread over several levels, with three distinct ambiences that mix clean lines with colourful graffiti, plus VIP areas and private suites. The main dance floor covers about 350 square metres and there is an outdoor terrace of around 500 square metres. Our listing gives a total capacity of around 1,500 people. The setting among Calatrava's white, futuristic buildings gives the night a backdrop no other club in the city can copy.
The music covers commercial, electronic and Latin sounds plus hip-hop and R&B. The main room focuses on electro, dance and commercial hits, while the Beats room is the home of R&B and urban music, so each space draws its own crowd. On summer nights entry is often combined with L'Umbracle's terrace, which lets you enjoy two very different spaces in one night.
The crowd is young and mixed: Valencian groups in their twenties, students, international visitors and plenty of people celebrating at tables. Minimum age is 18. There is a dress code: dress smart, no trainers and no sportswear, and fancy dress is not allowed; as usual, the door team has the final word. Mya sits at the more expensive end of Valencia's clubs, with entry usually from about €20 depending on the night and tables starting at around €250 with bottle service.
Mya generally opens on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, with extra dates for special events, and the schedule changes with the season, so always check the event page first. Doors open around midnight and the music runs until about 7am. Buying tickets or joining a guest list online in advance, through the group's own ticketing or apps such as Xceed, is usually cheaper and quicker than the door. There is public parking next to the complex, but the sensible way home is a taxi. Upcoming nights are listed on this page.
