MClub, also known as Sala MClub, is a late-night club at Carrer de la Sang 9, in Ciutat Vella, a few steps from Plaza del Ayuntamiento. That central location is a big part of its appeal: you can have dinner and drinks anywhere in the centre and walk here, and it is one of the few clubs right in the middle of town that keeps going until the morning.
The venue is larger than its narrow street suggests. It is described as an electronic music club with three large dance floors, which lets it run different styles in different rooms on the same night, and it regularly books both Spanish and international DJs. Expect a proper club setting with a booth, lights and a dark room rather than a bar with a speaker.
The programme mixes two worlds. On one side are the house club nights under the MClub name, such as MClub The Club, editions with The Gang or The Howl Crew and special dates like the autumn rentrée, which run through house, tech house and, depending on the room, reggaeton. On the other side is PROYECTO/, an electronic series that hosts some of the city's more underground parties. Gordo, a long-running Valencia night devoted to techno and dark house, appears here as PROYECTO/ GORDO, including its thirteenth anniversary and collaborations with Hated and Volumens, and the series has brought Detroit techno pioneer Derrick May to the booth alongside local DJ David Verdeguer.
Because of that range, the crowd changes with the night: dedicated techno fans for PROYECTO/, a broader mix of locals, students and visitors for the club nights. Entry is 18 and over, and the dress level is casual; there is no formal dress code, though looking tidy never hurts at the door. Weekends are when it is busiest, while quieter nights can feel empty.
MClub usually opens around midnight and runs until the morning, so arriving after one is sensible. Entry prices vary by night and line-up; special guests cost more, and some visitors find the door price high for regular nights, so check the event page and buy in advance where possible. Xàtiva and Colón metro stations are both within walking distance, and taxis are easy to find around Plaza del Ayuntamiento at closing time. Upcoming nights are listed on this page.
