Marina Beach Club

Marina Beach Club is a large leisure complex on the edge of La Marina de València, right where the old port meets Las Arenas beach. It brings restaurants, a pool club and a nightclub together in one place, so it is possible to spend the whole day there, from lunch by the sea to dancing in the early hours. For many people in Valencia it is the reference for an Ibiza-style beach club without leaving the city.

The site is lined with palm trees and open to the sea. Its centrepiece is a large circular pool with sunbeds and Balinese beds, served by several bars and soundtracked by a resident DJ. There are two restaurants: Panorama, a round dining room with large windows and a terrace stretching towards the water, and Playa Palapa, set on the sand with wood and reed décor. At the far end of the complex, El Club, under a white dome, takes over at night with DJ sessions until late. Capacity across the venue is around 1,500 people.

The programme runs in two blocks, afternoon and night. Recurring series include Beachouse, Nomade, Swing and Stars, built around guest DJs, alongside Hits and Viva Marina with commercial party music, JipJop with hip hop, Marina Classics with Vicente Buitrón and Tardeos al Mar, the afternoon sessions. Each season the club also brings in international DJs.

The crowd is mixed: locals celebrating, groups of friends, international residents and many visitors in summer. People usually dress up here, especially at night, so an elegant look is the safe bet; the minimum age is 18. Guides note that drinks cost more than in the bars nearby. Entry to events usually ranges between 20 and 40 euros depending on the night, while sunbeds and restaurant tables have their own rates.

Restaurant tables, pool sunbeds and club tickets can be booked on the official website, each with its own cancellation policy, and booking is advisable in midsummer and around sunset, when it gets very busy. The complex is open every day from midday until around 03:30. The easiest way to get there at night is by taxi; during the day it combines well with a walk along the Las Arenas and Malvarrosa promenade or around La Marina.
