LA3 Club

LA3 Club sits at number 111 of Avenida de Blasco Ibáñez, the long boulevard that runs through Valencia's university district. The name has a long history in the city: La 3 started around 2010 on Calle Padre Porta as an alternative club for indie, pop and electronic music and live concerts, helped launch projects such as the electronic club Oven and the techno nights Wax, and moved to Blasco Ibáñez around the 2018–2019 season after a complete refurbishment. Local press reported its closure in late 2020, during the pandemic; today the LA3 Club brand runs a full weekly programme again at the Blasco Ibáñez address.

The current club has three separate rooms, Main Room, Oven Club and Sala2, with LED lighting and screens, VIP areas for celebrations and a Funktion-One sound system. With capacity for around 800 people, it is one of the larger venues in the university area.

It opens practically every night from midnight, and each night has its own identity. Happy Mondays and the Wednesday sessions focus on reggaeton, trap and urban music, often with guest DJs and artists from the Spanish urban scene; Tuesdays are La3 International Club, aimed at international and exchange students; Thursdays are the university night with commercial hits; Fridays are billed as a house and techno night, although urban guests also appear; Saturdays mix reggaeton, pop and commercial; and Sundays belong to Wateke, a tech house session. Special events such as Tormento Fest take over the club for whole weekends.

The crowd is young, mostly students and international residents, especially early in the week. The minimum age is 18, except on Sundays, when it is 21. Dress codes vary by night, from casual on weekdays to a more polished club look on Fridays and Saturdays.

Entry is usually free with a guest list before around 01:00 (a little later on Wednesdays and earlier on Sundays, which start in the evening), and after that tickets generally start at 10 to 15 euros with a drink included. VIP tables for around five people are booked with a deposit, and the rest is paid at the door. Tickets and lists are managed through Xceed. Nights run until around 07:00, so many people start in the bars of the area and arrive after midnight; taxis are easy to find on the avenue at closing time. Upcoming nights are listed on this page.
