Kanela Discoteca

Kanela Discoteca is a Latin nightclub on Calle Doctor Montoro, in the La Zaidía area north of the old Turia riverbed. It is a club built for dancing to tropical and Latin urban music, and it has become a regular weekend stop for people in Valencia who want salsa and reggaeton in the same night rather than a standard commercial playlist.

The venue holds around 500 people and is laid out with two dance floors and a VIP zone. Having two floors means the music does not have to compromise: couples who want to dance salsa or bachata have their space, while the other floor leans towards reggaeton and dembow. The VIP area works with table service, which makes Kanela a common choice for birthdays and group celebrations.

The soundtrack covers salsa, bachata, merengue, reggaeton, dembow and other tropical hits, played by DJs in long Latin sessions. Rather than a rotating line-up of named series, the club relies on a consistent formula every weekend, with special celebrations on festive dates. If you are coming mainly to dance in couples, it helps to know some basic steps, but plenty of people come simply to enjoy the music with friends.

The crowd is made up of Latin music lovers of different backgrounds, along with groups celebrating something special. The atmosphere is warm and very dance-focused. Dress tends to be smart: neat going-out clothes and proper shoes fit better than sportswear, and the door team decides on entry. The minimum age is 18.

Kanela opens on Friday and Saturday nights, from around midnight until about 07:30. Standard entry is around 10 euros, with a small extra charge if you want a stamp or wristband to leave and come back; prices can rise on special nights. Tables, with or without a bottle, are reserved directly with the club via WhatsApp, and it makes sense to book ahead for larger groups or busy weekends. The dance floors tend to fill up after one in the morning. A taxi is the most practical way to get there and back at night.
